The story

From concept to investable company

HySights is a data-intelligence and ratings platform for clean molecules. I helped move the opportunity from its original concept through the investment decision, company launch, governance design, and subsequent external financing.

My role centred on making the opportunity decision-ready. I built and iterated the investment paper and financial model, connected market evidence to the funding case, and translated legal and governance questions into clear choices for senior stakeholders.

Designing the investment as a system

Early-stage investing is not only a valuation exercise. The commercial thesis, capital plan, shareholder protections, board rights, founder incentives, and reporting cadence must reinforce one another.

I worked across those elements with management, internal stakeholders, and external counsel—covering the transaction documents, reserved matters, information rights, board governance, and the practical requirements of operating the new company.

External validation and growth

The venture launched in March 2024 and subsequently completed a seven-figure third-party investment. Company reporting later recorded six-figure last-twelve-month bookings and revenue.

These are company outcomes rather than individual achievements. My contribution was to help build the decision, governance, and financing infrastructure that enabled the venture to reach them—and to support commercial, financial, and portfolio oversight as the business matured.
