Venture capital, Strategic partnerships
The story
Strategic investing across APAC and beyond
I led Halma Ventures activity in APAC, executing strategic corporate venture capital investments in five companies from Seed to Series F. The portfolio spanned businesses based in Australia, Israel, the UK, and the US.
My role covered the full investment process: opportunity development, commercial and strategic diligence, deal structuring, term-sheet negotiation, investment agreements, and collaboration frameworks.
Connecting strategic and venture outcomes
Corporate venture capital works best when strategic value creation and venture outcomes reinforce one another. I structured collaboration frameworks that gave portfolio companies access to relevant operating-company expertise and routes to market while preserving the conditions needed for independent growth.
I led and supported diligence across investments with deal sizes of US$1m—US$10m, and contributed to portfolio governance, including board responsibilities with VAPAR.
Building innovation networks
I also led Halma's presence in innovation ecosystems globally, with particular emphasis on Singapore, Israel, London, and Shenzhen. This involved identifying long-term partners and creating opportunities for collaboration between Halma operating companies and external start-ups.
